Unfortunately, The Secrets of Dumbledore doesn't seem to have done enough to save the seemingly doomed franchise, as the film currently has a 58% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

 Leigh Paatsch of the Herald Sun (Australia) writes:

"For at least the first 100 of its nearly 150-minute running time, Dumbledore's Secrets drags on in a state of endearing ennui."

 

Scotsman's Alistair Harkness echoed these sentiments, writing:
"For all the spectacle involved, this plays like a franchise that knows it's running out of steam. An element of the pre-production controversy seems to have turned out to be a win for the franchise. Mads Mikkelsen, who replaces Johnny Depp, seems to excel in the role of Grindelwald.

 

"Mikkelsen's intensity adds new layers of threat to the character," wrote Kevin Maher of the Times (UK). The accolades begin and end there, though Mikkelsen can only do so much for what The Hollywood Reporter's Lovia Gyarkye calls "a slog." Screen International's Tim Grierson provides an equally scathing review, calling Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore's Secrets a "footnote" compared to the Harry Potter drama." In other words, if you've ever owned a wand, you might find a bit of entertainment in the last film, magical. If not, maybe try apparate  outside of the theater.
