A Welcome Back to Hogwarts from Professor Dumbledore 2026

Firstly, thank you for joining our community and to our returning students a very warm welcome back!

 

Welcome to TheWizardingWorld | Harry Potter Fan Forum and another year at Hogwarts! Now, in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.

 

My dear witches, wizards and Muggles,

Another September has arrived, and with it comes that familiar feeling… New books to buy. Fresh robes to wear. Trains to catch. And, for some of you, the annual realisation that you have absolutely no idea where you left your wand.

 

But today is more than simply the first day of September.

 

Today is Back to Hogwarts.

 

For those returning to the castle, I hope you find your common room just as welcoming, your friends just as mischievous and your lessons slightly less terrifying than you remember. For those starting Hogwarts for the very first time… well, I have only one piece of advice.

 

Try not to get lost. The castle has a rather unfortunate habit of moving things around when you're not looking. And to those of us who have long since left the corridors of Hogwarts behind, remember that you never truly leave. The friendships remain. The stories remain. And somewhere, deep in your memory, there is still a version of yourself waiting for that letter to arrive.

 

So whether you're celebrating at King's Cross, Old Billingsgate, at home with a cup of tea, or simply raising an eyebrow when someone mentions the Hogwarts Express… Welcome back.

 

Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home. 

 

Now then… Best make your way to the station. And do try not to miss the train.
