Hi Everyone!   I want to hear what your top 5 favourite scenes are from the films! It's been so long now since the last instalment of Harry's story released so I'm sure you've all had a lot of time to think about it! Feel free to mention any of your favourite moments from the books too!   Here is my list:   5 - Lupin turns into a Werewolf - PoA 4 - Harry hears voices in detention with Lockhart - CoS 3 - Dumbledore vs Voldemort in the Ministry of Magic - Oo

Harry Potter has since became such an a global phenomenon that it’s hard to see the full scope what it accomplished over the years. J.K. Rowling was an unknown single mom when she first got the idea for her story while stuck on a train; the small UK children’s press that ultimately took a chance on it undoubtedly couldn’t have predicted that it would have a measurable effect on everything it touched. Now one of the biggest forces in pop culture, it changed the way that businesses published books

I choose Lupin/Tonks, I really wanted to have more of a relationship develop between the two but we don't really get to read much about them, we do meet Tonks parents but that really does seem to be about it. Who do you choose and why?

When did you first read the series? How old were you? Did you read them in order? Before or after the movies?   I first read the books when Prizoner of Azkaban was released on DVD. After watching the film i was overly eager to find out what happend next! I just hated the wait between the rest of the series in order to read the last book.

Welcome to the ASTROLOGY world!   img credit to owner   There are 12 signs, included 4 elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water) and 3 types (Cardinal/Initiation, Fixed/Stabilization, Mutable/Adaptatation). 3 x 4 = 12. Yeah, that's how it works.   Because each signs have their own traits and the thing that they value, why not sort them into Hogwart's houses? Without further ado, let's go!   Let's start with the easy one... GRYFFINDOR: ARIES, LEO,

A question that I'm sure will have some fantastic and creative answers... Many characters in the Harry Potter movies were taken away from us. But who do you feel was the absolute worst to read or watch? And as a side note; who of them didn't deserve it?   50pts to the most creative answers.

Welcome to our newest students!

Hi, this is my first thing for the introduction, and I just want to say that, Harry Potter is really the best thing I’ve ever read and the movies were quite good, so I just wanted to say that Harry Potter for me is just lovely, I love that they all ended up happily ever after, after everything they had to go through, I feel as though that implies that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, idk, anyway if anybody sees this then hi!!!

When DH Part 1 came out, I always said that Dobby was the most painful death for me. I remember talking to the guy I was crushing on at the time about it and how much it hurt us.    As an adult, and it's still one of the only deaths I've cried at in a film, is Fred Weasley's. I don't know whether it's the fact I'm reminded of GoF where Harry tells Fred and George we're going to need some laughter, whether the score is so poignant, the book knowledge or just the context for George's rea

Oh wow, I feel like Harry Potter has always been part of my life. Both of my first real experiences come from Philosopher's Stone.  Watching the film - I was very young, and the movie magic was so immersive to me that I genuinely believed it was being played live (I was quite young). I remember the bright colours, Draco's attitude and the joy I felt with the trio besting Voldemort. Reading the book - It was the week before my 11th birthday and I was just starting to really get int

I'd choose Fred Weasley.    Part of this decision is because Fred's death hurt me the most. I understand the sentiment of it, and the metaphor of dying in laughter, but Fred had so much more life to live. He and George were still working on getting everyone to see them as individuals, and death is the cruellest way to do it. As well as this, I don't think Fred's story was quite complete. Sure, he's gone on to run a business, but what else has he achieved after school? He was inducted i

Oh, this is hard one. Now I'm really thinking about it, I'm realising I'm thinking more of the scores rather than the mise-en-scene itself. I can't put them in any order, but here's five of my favourites. The first time we see Diagon Alley and Gringotts - PS.  Fred and George disrupting the Charms OWL with the Fireworks - OoTP. The Broomsticks and Flying to London - OoTP. TROLL IN THE DUNGEON - PS Christmas at the Burrow - HBP. I mean I love all the sce
  • What are forums and how do they work?

An Internet forum is a discussion area on a website. Website members can post discussions and read and respond to posts by other forum members. A forum can be focused on nearly any subject and a sense of an online community, or virtual community, tends to develop among forum members.

This type of forum may also be called a message board, discussion group, bulletin board, or web forum, but it differs from a blog, the name for a web log, as a blog is usually written by one user and usually only allows for the responses of others to the blog material. A forum usually allows all members to make posts and start new topics.

An Internet forum is also different from a chat room. Members in a chat room usually all chat or communicate at the same time, while members in a discussion group post messages to be read by others whenever they happen to log on. Forums also tend to be more topic-focused than chat rooms.

The separate conversations in a forum are called threads, and they are made up of member-written posts. Members can usually edit their own posts, start new topics, post in their choice of threads, and edit their profile. A profile usually lists optional information about each forum member, such as the city they are located in and their interests.

We believe this sort of community with a message board is far superior to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Your posts will never be lost, and everyone can join in our conversations.
