Hogwarts Revisited (The Book)

[HogwartsRevisited]

Consider this a follow up to my previous thread. After a week of considering and  some editing, I suppose I might as well bite the bullet and post my Harry Potter story in here, if you'll indulge me. 🙂

Hogwarts Revisited is what I named the book. Since it's so long, I'll post them chapter by chapter a few at a time to make it easier, and if you guys are interested, we can discuss the plot and characters as I go along posting it as well! I'm always happy to hear ideas and constructive criticisms!

To try and stir up some intrigue, I wrote a "book jacket" type summary for it, which turned out to be kind of awkwardly difficult, below. I'll start posting chapters tomorrow! And hopefully you will enjoy the adventure!

Quote

It’s been just over two years since the Battle of Hogwarts decided the war against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. The Wizarding community of England has been trying desperately to restore a sense of stability, but after such brutal tumult, a return to normalcy has been harder to come by than many hoped. As the Ministry of Magic encourages the community to pick up and carry on as best they can, the education of young witches and wizards must continue.

The older students at the school are having a harder time forgetting the previous traumatic years than many hoped, and the newer students are having a hard time finding their place in this post-war world. While the professors, many of them new hires, try their best to keep the students on track, the students struggle to find where they belong.

Under these conditions of uncertainty, Kevin Connoly enters his first year at Hogwarts. With an older sister who has a mysterious reputation, a talent for flying no one’s seen since Harry Potter, and a secret he knows not yet the consequences of, Kevin finds his magical education may not be the smooth ride he hoped for.
