Harry and Ginny's Relationship?

Harry and Ginny have been through a lot together since Ginny's first year at Hogwarts. They always seemed to have a connection -we know Ginny has always fancied Harry but Harry never shows signs of interest until Book 6 where Harry starts feeling things for his best friend's little sister or so I thought! 

 

So after really analyzing their relationship and the the time Harry and Ginny spend together. Harry notices Ginny before he realizes he has feelings for, Harry seems to be a guy that has a thing about hair. He describes Cho's hair constantly then in the Order of the Phoenix, be begins describing Ginny's hair. To be accurate he says  "The door opened and along mane of red hair appeared", another prime example of Harry noticing Ginny is in the first book as he and her brothers board the Hogwarts express, he notices Ginny waving half laughing, half crying. He notices her again when she is lined up in the Great Hall with all the first years waiting to be sorted. 

 

Rowling subtly added moments of Harry noticing and being aware of Ginny throughout the series. They have had small interactions, inside jokes and familiarity throughout the series. Perhaps this is how their relationship became so strong and why they ended up together. We know that Ginny and Harry share the same bravery, their beliefs and love for family. 

 

What do you guys think about their relationship? Did it have the time to develop? Would you have liked to see more of it? Did you think that Rowling should have focused on Harry's love interest a bit more or perhaps that would have taken away from Harry's true task - beating He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named?
