A wizard school is opening in Gloucestershire this Halloween and it will teach aspiring witches and wizards all they need to know. The four-day course starts on Monday, October 28 and runs until Thursday, October 31 where you will spend four magical days immersed in the World of Wizardry.
The cost for the programme is £180 and runs from 10am - 4.30pm Monday through to Thursday at St Andrews Church in Cheltenham .
This is the first time the Harry Potter-themed school has been launched at Halloween having previously run The School of Wizardry during the summer.
The spellbinding course is run by Cheltenham Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and their Principal Nicola Carter, also known as dotty Professor Magnolia McGonagal.
During the school, the magical professors will be dressed in cloaks and wizards aged six and above will have the chance to learn about all things magic - this includes magnificent music, drama and magic masterclasses with professional magicians from The Magic Circle.
During the four-day course, aspiring witches and wizards will be taught all the core classes including acting magic, live owls, hubble bubble choir, conjuring, transfiguration make up, wand stage combat and the care of magical creatures.
What's more, they will even have the chance to see real live owls courtesy of Walks with Hawks. And if that wasn't enough, next summer the Harry Potter-themed event will be back along with a pirate theme which will feature exotic animals such as snakes, spiders and parrots. The School of Wizardry has proved popular and over the last three years, the school has given out around 70 scholarships as Nicola explains: "Sometimes the money can be a bit out of people's wizardry pockets."
