Hello, everyone

 

We are back from our Italian vacation and back to more bearable temperatures. My brain can slowly think about other things than finding shadow and water and ice cream again, so of course my first visit is to the library. Aaahh, nice and calm and dark in here. I can smell books and stories. *sigh*

 

For the last two nights we were joined at our assigned dinner table by a lovely Scottish couple. The lady used to teach at a grammar school near Glasgow, and guess what - she was a huge Harry Potter fan! My husband talked to her husband mostly, since they both shared an interest in Formula 1, while the girls and me listened to Margret rant about and swoon over various characters. It was marvelous!

 

From her I learned that Dumbledore is apparently a very old English world for "bumblebee", which I find fascinating, because neither in the books nor the movies does the headmaster remind me of that lovable insect. But I can't get that image out of my head now and wanted to share this bit of information.

 

Over the next couple of days I'll hopefully find the time and peace to give a shout-out to all the new members I missed due to Covid and traveling. Until then - stay safe and buzz on, my Potter-heads.
