Hello, everyone 😘

After almost three weeks that were governed by Covid, I decided to take the day off work and do some housekeeping, both actual and virtual.

I see you have been busy bees while I was gone - there were 131 notifications waiting for me when I logged in! No way am I going to catch up on all of that, so please forgive me if I missed anything. Should you think there is something I absolutely need to know, fill me in, please?

Instead of greeting all the many new members (yay!) individually, I'll just do a group shout-out to @Rosie, @Snowglobe, @Scorpio934, @Ruchika, @naadiich, @River Phoenix, @maganbe, @Belgin Gül, @MegaMetal, @AFCBMARTIN, @Emily, @Eleanora, @sillygirl253, @SherbertLemon, @Jumaanah and @DumbledoresMann. Hopefully I haven't forgotten or overlooked anyone. If I did, don't take it personally, I am old and tired. 😉

Hugs to all the others as well. Thanks for asking and requiring, even though I didn't manage to respond to everyone. It was all a bit much over the last couple of weeks, but knowing that I was missed and that you thought of me helped more than you can imagine.

To cut a long story short - first I caught the cold from hell and was out of commission for a week. Then my husband came home from a business trip and brought us Covid. I guess my antibodies were still in roughhousing mode from the cold and kicked Covid's butt - my tests were always negative, as were my daughters'. Good thing it was, too, because taking care of a sick person while feeling under the weather myself was taxing enough.

When the husband was finally better, my father got infected. He is older and not in perfect health, so it hit him much harder, in spite of being vaccinated. He came home from the hospital on Friday and it took us the weekend to relax both of my parents enough to leave them unattended in their own home  - they don't trust that it is fully over yet.

I am hoping very much that the worst is behind us and look forward to spending more time with you all again.

I'll do some laundry now, cook a comforting soup and then roll up in an armchair beside the fireplace in the Slytherin Common Room. If you find me there - please let me sleep. I need it. 😉
