Today marks exactly 20 years since the first film was released on 16th November 2001. To celebrate the occasion, the official wizarding world website has released details about a special event that is to take place on 1st January 2022. 
 

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will reunite for the “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” that is to begin steaming on the 1st January 2022 on HBO Max. For those where HBO Max is not yet available, more details will be given soon. It will also air on TBS and Cartoon Network in springtime before the release of “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.”
 

Other appearances will include Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch and director Christopher Columbus. 
 

The event is going to be filmed at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London (Leavesden studios) which is where all the Harry Potter films were made. I initially thought it would be a live event but it doesn’t sound like it is. More details can be seen here.
