I belive that Dumbledore knew way tooo much and later not enough? Confusing i know! Also would like to admit its been a wile since i read or watch harry so may have forgotten somthing!

Albus knew too much like he had seen it before, yes he is insightfull, and studies everything in its detail but.... could this be because he had! Although Mcgonagle gave Hermionie the time turner was it Bumblebees? Had he used it to travel back in time so he would always know what was coming but change very little?

We know he was obsessed with his dead sister,  after all the mirror of desire was his, could he have tried to save her using one? Even years after?

In the movie at least he seems to know that the minister for magic needs destracting from H and H who have used the time turner he knows Hermione has but hasnt told them yet to use it! (Head hurt?)

On to the killing himself part,

Dumble knew flamel, why? Just because they are old wizards? Or was he a lover, or a user of the elixer?

We find out at the end of book one the stone was destroyed! But flamel had enough elixer stock pilled to set his afairs strait! Meaning the stone isnt required in ones possesion for elixer use and stockpiles can be made!

What im hinting at is maybe Dumble had some too and ran out and this coincided with the ring and snape! Also other things say he was hiding from death like possessing all the hallows untill he gave the cloak to harry, but at that point he would of had the stone and be collecting elixer so why not! Then oh it needs to be distroyed, cant ask harry for the cloak back can he? Why do you need it sir?

Rant pursed!

I may comment with more of a rant as i remember more oddness in Dumbledore!
