At Hogwarts there are many extracurricular activities and clubs that have been formed over the many, many years for young witches and wizards to enjoy in whatever free time they might have.
Clubs are a brand new way of supporting sub-communities within TheWizardingWorld | Harry Potter Fan Forums
Four types of club are available:
Clubs that anyone can see and participate in without joining. Open club
Clubs that anyone can see and join. Closed club
Clubs that anyone can see in the directory, but joining must be approved by a Club Leader or Club Moderator. Non-club-members who view the club will only see the member list - not the recent activity or content areas. Private club
Clubs that do not show in public, and users must be invited by a Club Leader or Club Moderator
Each club must have a staff member willing to volunteer as a mentor, not only to help facilitate events and arrange meeting times and places, but also to help overcome house rivalries, as clubs are inter-house organisations.
Each club has three levels of user:
A leader has all of the permissions of a moderator, and can add other moderators. They can also add content areas (see below). The club owner is automatically a leader. Moderators
Moderators, as the name implies, have the ability to moderate content posted within the club. As the site administrator, you can define which moderator tools can be used. You could, for example, prevent any content being deleted from clubs, but allow it to be hidden. Moderators can also remove members from a club. Users
Anyone else that joins the club.
Club Leaders can add a variety of content areas to their club - forums, calendars and so on. Each content area a leader adds can have a custom title, and will appear in the club navigation. This means, for example, that you can have multiple forums within a club, and give each a different name.
You can show your support and join any one of these clubs in our communites or even start your own!

For what purpose did the death eaters enter Hogwarts
Hello HP fans,
I’ve been a big Harry Potter fan over the years and generally find the plots and stories very consistent throughout the 7 books. However, I cannot fathom why the death eaters decided to enter hogwarts at the end of the book. Why would Voldemort just allow his followers to enter the castle knowing full well dumbledore would eventually return from his travels. After all they have no idea that when he does return he would be in a weakened state and the DE’s normally would flee the fight when he inevitably enters the battle (as they did at the end of OOTP). Furthermore, why on earth would they set off the darkmark alerting dumbledore to there presence. Again, why would anyone assume the old man is not going to return with his full strength and with a rage upon him after seeing the mark in the sky.
Also so on a final note, did Voldemort not find it strange that dumbledore was in such a weakend state (after all he would of heard the full account from Draco) surely he must of pondered what had put dumby in such poor state
Hopefuly someone one can help me out here. Thanks
Firstly, thank you for joining our community and to our returning students a very warm welcome back!

The hourglasses are filled with different jewels for each house - Gryffindor's are rubies, Ravenclaw's sapphires, Slytherin's emeralds and Hufflepuff's diamonds.

What are forums and how do they work?
An Internet forum is a discussion area on a website. Website members can post discussions and read and respond to posts by other forum members. A forum can be focused on nearly any subject and a sense of an online community, or virtual community, tends to develop among forum members.
This type of forum may also be called a message board, discussion group, bulletin board, or web forum, but it differs from a blog, the name for a web log, as a blog is usually written by one user and usually only allows for the responses of others to the blog material. A forum usually allows all members to make posts and start new topics.
An Internet forum is also different from a chat room. Members in a chat room usually all chat or communicate at the same time, while members in a discussion group post messages to be read by others whenever they happen to log on. Forums also tend to be more topic-focused than chat rooms.
The separate conversations in a forum are called threads, and they are made up of member-written posts. Members can usually edit their own posts, start new topics, post in their choice of threads, and edit their profile. A profile usually lists optional information about each forum member, such as the city they are located in and their interests.

Harry was put on trial at the start of the book and film for discharging his Patronus to defeat a Dementor – but did Dumbledore travel back in time to get the hearing?
When the trial begins, Dumbledore shows up unannounced to defend Harry to the surprise of Cornelius Fudge (and Harry alike). Fudge makes a remark that they had changed the time and moved the location of the trial, to which Dumbledore says (not verbatim, mind you) that he had ‘by some luck arrived at the Ministry three hours early’.
Dumbledore was on time to where he thought Harry's trial was..... Right? So, Dumbledore must've missed the hearing completely!
So can we safely assume that Dumbledore had used a time turner to jump back in time and arrive in the correct place to help Harry?
What's your thought on this theory? We'd love to hear them.
