Those of you who are willing to lose sleep over the Harry Potter movies, the Prince Charles Cinema which is known for its epic movie marathons is showing all eight Harry Potter movies—from the Philosopher’s Stone right the way through to the Deathly Hallows pt. 2—the marathon will kick off at 20:30 and finish at 17:35 the following day.

That’s 21 hours and 5 minutes of screen time, including a short 10 minute break (on average) between films. Do you think you can do it without falling asleep?

Once doors have closed to the public on 23rd and 29th March 2018, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter will welcome Groupon members for an exclusive event. Available for entry from 5.00pm, guests will be granted after-hours access to the Studio Tour which showcases authentic sets, props and costumes from the Harry Potter film series.
Guests can walk the flagstones of the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall before viewing many of the famous sets – including the Ministry of Magic, Dumbledore’s office, and the Gryffindor common room. They’ll also get an exclusive look at the newest expansion: The Forbidden Forest.
The Forbidden Forest may be strictly off-limits to Hogwarts students, but Groupon guests are invited to follow the footsteps of Harry, Ron and Hermione deep into the forest, which is home to an abundance of creatures. Guests will be welcomed through the Hogwarts Gates by the beloved half-giant Hagrid deep into the forest which is filled with 19 trees each with a diameter of over 12 feet.
Visitors will walk beneath the giant entwined roots and encounter a full-size model of Buckbeak, and have the opportunity to bow to the majestic creature. Harry Potter: A History of Magic
Open until Wed 28 Feb 2018
Journey to where magic and myth began
Have you ever wanted to delve into Divination, ponder the peculiarities of Potions and discover enchanting creatures? Now you can.
We unveil rare books, manuscripts and magical objects from the British Library’s collection, capturing the traditions of folklore and magic which are at the heart of the Harry Potter stories. Marvel at original drafts and drawings by J.K. Rowling and illustrator Jim Kay, both on display for the first time.
See the gargantuan 16th-century Ripley Scroll that explains how to create a Philosopher’s Stone. Gaze at Sirius in the night sky as imagined by medieval astronomers. Encounter hand-coloured pictures of dragons, unicorns and a phoenix rising from the flames.
Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone with this extraordinary new addition to J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.

We visited the Harry Potter tour this week, if you're looking to go here are a few things to look forward too!

      Just outside the Library

As we make our way through into the tour it's self
Exhibits donated by JK Rowling which shows some of her original manuscripts, sketches and artwork by Jim Kay. Also included is medieval material on alchemy and magic, all organised by the different classes at Hogwarts.

Here are few examples of JK's work and Jim Kay!

We'd recommend visiting Platform 9 3/4 shop at King's Cross Station which is a 10 minute walk. You can have your photo taken while trying to get through to Platform 9 3/4 (but don't tell the muggles!).

Overall, the experience was great and it was amazing insight into JK's mind. Interactive demo's for the kids to play on and make potions, while the adults can learn about the history which was used for the making of Harry Potter and The Wizarding World.

Thank to The British Library, JK Rowling and JimKay - Without them we wouldn't have this fantastic exhibition!
