  1. Harry Potter star Tom Felton has revealed he doesn't think the cast will ever reunite for any more instalments of the franchise. Tom has expressed along with fans who don’t see the need to update the original franchise. Speaking to various sources, Felton was asked if he thought the cast would do another movie. "How much you offering?" he answered. "I'm joking. I don't think it will be reprised, to be honest with you. "I think it was a wonderful eight chapters, and everything that needed to be done was done. I think they'll take it further on in their own direction, but we're all still immensely proud to be part of it." The actor, who played Draco Malfoy, also added that he was happy to see how the Potter fandom is still growing. "It's great to see it's been past down from generation to generation," Tom said. "But I can speak for the cast when I say we're very grateful for all of the support that's come our way over the last decade." Tom shared a photo of himself standing beside a pic of Draco Malfoy from the first Harry Potter movie, The Philosopher's Stone, and poked fun at how much he's changed over the years. Pointing at the poster of young Draco while also wearing a Slytherin cape, Tom wrote: "Agings a bitch".
  2. I was Tweeted at today and asked; ' who are Hogwarts’ English and maths teachers? As far as I can tell, they never get taught the basics, so where do they learn them?' This made me wonder if children who attend or graduate from Hogwarts have an education that can be used in the Muggle world? Do students learn English and Maths? As Tweeted here: With some research we can see that Arithmancy is taught but that's the study of the magical properties of numbers, not maths. How do younger wizards and witches get educated in basic skills like reading and writing? We see very little of this in the books, although obviously the kids entering Hogwarts have been trained in some of these basic skills or they wouldn’t be able to handle the classes the face at Hogwarts. Given the very medieval nature of the wizarding world, I suggest that most kids are trained either by their parents in basic reading, writing, and math, or are trained in small one-room schools with a relatively few children and one teacher. This training would cover the basics and enough pre-magic theory to produce kids who can function in wizarding society. Currently taught at Hogwarts Herbology = Botany/Gardening Care of Magical Creatures = Zoology/Veterinary Science Arithmancy = Arithmetic/Mathematics Potions = Chemistry/Cookery/Pharmacology Astronomy = (Astro)physics/Mathematics/Geography (of the Heavens) Charms = Latin/Drama/Kinetics DADA = Physical Education/Chemistry/Physics Divination = Mathematics/Psychology/Philosophy/Lunacy Ancient Runes = History/Logic/Mathematics/Linguistics Transfiguration = Physics/Biology (bioenergetics)/Physical Education History of Magic = History/Tolerance (of boredom) Flying = Physical Education/Driving Lessons Muggle Studies = History/Sociology/Technology etc. I'm very interested if anyone does know or has their own ideas on the matter. We'd love to hear your comments.

  4. A wizard school is opening in Gloucestershire this Halloween and it will teach aspiring witches and wizards all they need to know. The four-day course starts on Monday, October 28 and runs until Thursday, October 31 where you will spend four magical days immersed in the World of Wizardry. The cost for the programme is £180 and runs from 10am - 4.30pm Monday through to Thursday at St Andrews Church in Cheltenham . This is the first time the Harry Potter-themed school has been launched at Halloween having previously run The School of Wizardry during the summer. The spellbinding course is run by Cheltenham Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and their Principal Nicola Carter, also known as dotty Professor Magnolia McGonagal. During the school, the magical professors will be dressed in cloaks and wizards aged six and above will have the chance to learn about all things magic - this includes magnificent music, drama and magic masterclasses with professional magicians from The Magic Circle. During the four-day course, aspiring witches and wizards will be taught all the core classes including acting magic, live owls, hubble bubble choir, conjuring, transfiguration make up, wand stage combat and the care of magical creatures. What's more, they will even have the chance to see real live owls courtesy of Walks with Hawks. And if that wasn't enough, next summer the Harry Potter-themed event will be back along with a pirate theme which will feature exotic animals such as snakes, spiders and parrots. The School of Wizardry has proved popular and over the last three years, the school has given out around 70 scholarships as Nicola explains: "Sometimes the money can be a bit out of people's wizardry pockets." For more information or to apply you can email the magic team on info@camda.org or call 07545345655. 9. For what purpose did the death eaters enter Hogwarts Hello HP fans, I’ve been a big Harry Potter fan over the years and generally find the plots and stories very consistent throughout the 7 books. However, I cannot fathom why the death eaters decided to enter hogwarts at the end of the book. Why would Voldemort just allow his followers to enter the castle knowing full well dumbledore would eventually return from his travels. After all they have no idea that when he does return he would be in a weakened state and the DE’s normally would flee the fight when he inevitably enters the battle (as they did at the end of OOTP). Furthermore, why on earth would they set off the darkmark alerting dumbledore to there presence. Again, why would anyone assume the old man is not going to return with his full strength and with a rage upon him after seeing the mark in the sky. Also so on a final note, did Voldemort not find it strange that dumbledore was in such a weakend state (after all he would of heard the full account from Draco) surely he must of pondered what had put dumby in such poor state Hopefuly someone one can help me out here. Thanks

An Internet forum is a discussion area on a website. Website members can post discussions and read and respond to posts by other forum members. A forum can be focused on nearly any subject and a sense of an online community, or virtual community, tends to develop among forum members. This type of forum may also be called a message board, discussion group, bulletin board, or web forum, but it differs from a blog, the name for a web log, as a blog is usually written by one user and usually only allows for the responses of others to the blog material. A forum usually allows all members to make posts and start new topics. An Internet forum is also different from a chat room. Members in a chat room usually all chat or communicate at the same time, while members in a discussion group post messages to be read by others whenever they happen to log on. Forums also tend to be more topic-focused than chat rooms. The separate conversations in a forum are called threads, and they are made up of member-written posts. Members can usually edit their own posts, start new topics, post in their choice of threads, and edit their profile. A profile usually lists optional information about each forum member, such as the city they are located in and their interests. Here's what to expect and how you can get involved: So, you've joined TWW (The Wizarding World), First thing's first. Let's get to know you by creating an introduction post. While you are at TWW your triumphs will earn you House Points, while any rule-breaking will lose House Points. At the end of the year, the House with the most points is awarded the House Cup. Once you're sorted you'll be able to access the common rooms. Finally: If you recruit/recommend a member, you get 20 house points for each person you recruit/recommend to join. However, this person must be sorted for you to be rewarded, and they must mention that you referred them.

  12. Hogwarts In The Snow: Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - Taking place from Saturday November 16 2018 until Sunday January 26 2019 The festive transformation will begin in the Great Hall, where the stage will again be decorated as it was for the iconic Yule Ball. As seen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the celebration of the Triwizard Tournament saw every detail of the Great Hall covered in shimmering silver, dripping icicles and sparkling snow. You will get a taster of this incredible set dress as the top section of the Great Hall will be transformed with snow-covered Christmas trees, icicles and an orchestra of magical instruments that have been painted by the Prop-Making Department to match the silver of the Yule Ball. Taking place from Saturday November 16 until Sunday January 26 In addition to the Yule Ball decoration, The Great Hall will be lined with Christmas trees and the long dining tables will be dressed as they were for seasonal feasts at Hogwarts with prop versions of roast turkeys, hams studded with cherries and even Christmas puddings surrounded by real flames. As part of the Hogwarts in the Snow feature, many of the iconic sets housed at the Studio Tour will receive a festive makeover. The Gryffindor Common Room and Boys’ Dormitory will be decorated with the original props including handmade Christmas cards, some of which were created by the cast members during production. Fireplaces throughout the Studio Tour (including those in the Leaky Cauldron and Great Hall) will be ‘lit’ with special effects fire, created by John Richardson and the SFX team using a combination of water vapour and lighting effects. The Hogwarts castle model will be transformed with a layer of filmmaking snow. During filming, a member of the crew climbed aboard an elevated work platform and sprinkled the ‘snow’ mixture of granulated paper and grains of salt onto the model by hand with a sieve – like dusting sugar onto a cake. The same process will be used at the Studio Tour this November. You will even be able to touch samples of the different types of ‘snow’ used during production, each selected for its ability to float like falling snow, crunch under foot or glisten in the light like ice. Hogwarts in the Snow will run from Saturday 16th November – Sunday 26th January 2019. Tickets must be pre-booked, and all extra features are included in the ticket price. 13. The DARK ARTS FRIDAY 28th SEPTEMBER - SATURDAY 10th NOVEMBER Image: WB Studio Tour | https://www.wbstudiotour.co.uk Throughout the Hallowe’en season, fans of Death Eaters, daring duels and Hallowe'en feasts are invited to explore the darkness of the Wizarding World as we host a special feature dedicated to the Dark Arts. Returning this year, the iconic Great Hall set will be decorated with over 100 floating pumpkins, just as seen on screen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Created by Head Propmaker on all the Harry Potter films, Pierre Bohanna, the pumpkins are modelled on those found in Hagrid’s pumpkin patch in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and are hand-carved by the Prop Making Department so no two are alike. The Great Hall tables will also be laden with a Hallowe’en feast of red apples, pumpkins and cauldrons of lollipops. After learning wand combat moves in an interactive experience with Wand Choreographer, Paul Harris, you are invited to take part in an exciting live duel with Death Eaters in the Studio Tour’s backlot. Demonstrating how a crowd scene like the Battle of Hogwarts would have been created during filming, you will test out your newly learned wand techniques as you are directed through a battle with Death Eaters who are storming the Hogwarts Bridge. As part of the feature, the original Death Eater costumes from the film series will be on display allowing you to see up close the intricate details of the embroidered robes and hand-painted masks. During production, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's followers each wore a unique mask, handmade by the Prop Making Department that was designed to reflect their personality. In addition to this, vats of slimy Troll snot, buckets of dribbling drool (of the three-headed dog variety) and pools of silvery unicorn blood will be showcased in the Tour allowing you to get hands-on and see exactly how the slime and goo was created. You will also be able to walk down a darker Diagon Alley as the lights are dimmed and the music becomes more foreboding on the wizarding shopping street. Dark Arts will run from Friday 28th September 2018 – Saturday 10th November 2018. Tickets must be pre-booked and all extra features are included in the ticket price. Harry survived, with only a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. Hagrid took the baby, meeting Dumbledore outside the Dursley's home. Young Harry was left with the Dursleys. Jul 1991: Immediately before Harry's 11th birthday, letters began arriving via Owl Post. The Dursleys were horrified and went into hiding. Hagrid rode his flying motorcycle, rescuing Harry and taking him to Diagon Alley for his school supplies. Sep 1991: On September 1, 1991, Harry went to Platform 9 3/4 to catch the train to Hogwart's. He met Ron and Hermione for the first time. Jun 1992: At the end of his first year at Hogwart's, Harry defeated Voldemort, in the guise of the Defense of the Dark Arts professor, Quirrell. This was Harry's first encounter with He-who-shall-not-be-named. Aug 1992: In August 1992, Ron, Fred, and George picked up Harry in their father's flying car. Harry and Ron later used the car to get to Hogwart's when Dobby blocked their access to Platform 9 3/4. Sep 1992: The students began their second year at the beginning of September 1992. Dobby feared for their lives and blocked their access to Platform 9 3/4; however, the students took the flying car, crashing in the woods. They would later serve a detention in the woods. Feb 1993: In February 1993, Harry defeated Tom Riddle and the basilisk in the tunnels beneath Hogwarts. He destroyed Tom Riddle, later to become Voldemort's diary. Readers will later learn this was one of Voldemort's horcruxes. Jul 1993: In the summer of 1993, Harry fled the Dursleys. He learned, for the first time, of the existence of Sirius Black, and was later warned away from him by Arthur Weasley. Sep 1993: In September 1993, Harry and the others began their third year at Hogwart's. Dementors were on campus because of the escape of Sirius that summer. Jun 1994: In June 1994, using the time-turner Dumbledore gave Hermione, Harry and the others free Sirius, as well as the hippogriff, Buckbeak. Sirius leaves Harry a letter providing permission to go to Hogsmeade. Sep 1994: Harry's fourth year at Hogwart's began in September 1994. Hogwart's was anxiously awaiting the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Oct 1994: On October 31, 1994, the Goblet of Fire provided an additional competitor's name, Harry Potter. Harry began to prepare for the competition. Jun 1995: At the end of the Tri-wizard Tournament, Harry fought Voldemort. Voldemort ordered the other student from Hogwart's in the Tournament, Cedric Diggory killed by Peter Pettigrew. Aug 1995: Following Harry's unauthorized use of magic to save his cousin Dudley from dementors, Harry is force to attend a disciplinary hearing at the Ministry of Magic. He is cleared of wrongdoing on the basis of Dumbledore's testimony. Sep 1995: Harry began his fifth year at Hogwarts in 1995. By this time, Dumbledore had re-established the Order of the Phoenix, headquartered in Sirius Black's family home. Jun 1996: Harry and the Order of the Phoenix prevent Voldemort and his associates from acquiring the prophecy in the Department of Mysteries. Sirius Black is killed in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. Sep 1996: Harry began his sixth year at Hogwart's in September 1996. Dumbledore began to prepare for his death and Draco Malfoy supported the Death Eaters. Jun 1997: In June 1997, Severus Snape killed Albus Dumbledore. Snape acted at Dumbledore's request, as Dumbledore wanted to preserve Draco's soul. Draco had already been ordered to kill Dumbledore by Voldemore. 1997: After Dumbledore's death, Harry, Ron and Hermione sought out the horcruxes to destroy Voldemort. Conditions continued to worsen with Voldemort in power. May 1998: The Battle of Hogwart's brought conditions in the magical world to a head. There were multiple deaths, including Snape, Lupin, Tonks and Fred Weasley. Hermione returned to complete her education, but many of the others, including Ron and Harry moved on to their professional lives. 2007: In 2007, Harry was appointed head of the Aurors Department in the Ministry of Magic. The other students in his circle at Hogwart's were equally successful. 2016: Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione and others watch their children leave for Hogwart's.

I would like to help everyone who has a question, but I don't have time to respond to you all. Since I am seeing a lot of the same questions asked, I'll try to answer those here: 1. The map doesn't show up when I download it. This is because you have extracted the world folder into a new folder. The folder in your saves folder should be called "By The Floo Network". If it is called "Harry Potter in Minecraft" instead, simply open this folder, and drag the folder inside out into the saves folder. 2. What is the Resource pack and the shader pack? I have made the Resource pack myself, and it's custom built for the map. If can be downloaded from the Planet Minecraft link in the description. The Shader is Sildur's Vibrant Shaders. 3. How do I install the map? There is a guide if you click the link in the description, which explains how to install it. 4. The book for teleporting around doesn't show up in my inventory. The book only shows up, if you are playing in the version 1.12 or later. The mechanism for giving the player the book in not compatible with 1.11.2 or older updates. 5. Is there any mods required: No. The map has been built and functions in vanilla Minecraft. 6. Does the map cost money? No. The map is free, though you can choose to donate. 7. Is it an adventure map with quests? Not yet, but I am currently working on an expanded version of the map, with quests, as well as new locations, (The rest of the ministry of magic, post-battle Hogwarts and much more!) It will also add some improvements to the locations already built 8. How long did it take to build the map, and how many people worked on it? We are five teenagers, four of us from Denmark and one from America, who've worked on the map on and off over a period of several years. The vast majority of the map was however built by just one person, with the rest helping with some builds and some of the technical aspects of the project.
