Filming is taking place this month so I imagine it will be aired in October-November. I think the channel is HBO max in the US, I’m not sure how it will work for the rest of the world.

Several months ago, there was speculation that Warner Bros were thinking about making a new Harry Potter series. Today, an article is giving further information and says that the series will focus on Snape presumably set during his childhood/teen years. There are no other details given as it is very early stages- if this does make it to the big screen, it probably won’t be until the end of decade by which point Fantastic Beasts would have concluded.

I’m not sure how reliable this information is because I can’t find any other article or information about this.

This week, HBO Max revealed the full list of movies and TV shows coming to its lineup in September 2021. On the first day of the month, all eight Harry Potter movies are set to return.

The franchise actually returned to HBO Max earlier this summer, but only for a one-month stint, before being shuffled back to Peacock. This time, they'll be around a bit longer.

The eight films in the Harry Potter series aren't the only ones coming to HBO Max at the start of September.

A Parents’ Guide to Harry Potter
Wondering whether the series is a good fit for your kids? Here are four things to know about the franchise.

Viewing Ages Change From Film to Film
The films range from PG rated to PG-13, maturing along with its characters. A 7-year-old could easily get into Sorcerer’s Stone, while Goblet of Fire and beyond may be for slightly older kids. Expect Some Dark Content
There’s magic, of course. But there are also scary images, and moments of high intensity, emotion and some violence. Romance comes into play too, but only in a high-school-kissing way. Harry and His Friends Are Good Role Models
While the core trio do get into scrapes, overall, the stories emphasize bravery, kindness and working together. Plus, Hermione is a wonderful character for bookish girls to see on screen. You Can Watch It Together
The Harry Potter movies have plenty to offer adults too. So while it’s not required, this is a series you can really sit down and enjoy with the whole family.

As we reported and spoke about the rumours of their being a Harry Potter TV series back in December 2020.

We thought we'd make a discussion thread to which we can discuss possible plots, characters. So, back in December it was reported that this new Harry Potter TV series may star Jude Law!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a Harry Potter live-action TV series is in early development at HBO Max, with the streaming service having “early-stage exploratory meetings” with writers for potential ideas. “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform,” HBO Max and Warner Bros said in a statement, but you’d have to be as thick as Cornelius Fudge to believe they aren’t doing their darndest to extend that Galleons-filled universe.
There are loads of avenues a potential Harry Potter TV series could go down. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has proven that Harry Potter fans will embrace different characters and time-periods and there’s plenty of in-universe history to explore.

With that in mind, what do you think the Harry Potter television series will be about?
